Glass Bead Square Clutch - TURQUOISE EYE

This slightly psychedelic coin purse, with graphics that resemble a Marimekko print, references the 1960´s, that last recent period when all the world seemed poised to throw off history's terrible legacies and walk into grace.

It is handmade by a Mayan women's cooperative near Lake Atitlán in the Western highlands of Guatemala. A generous square size, fully lined, and with a silky smooth widetoothed zipper.
