This clutch design references Guatemalan women's textiles, specifically the hand-embroidered belts that wind several times around their waists to cinch the wrap skirts to their waists. We bring many designs to our beading groups, most of them having little cultural relation to their lives, so it is a joy to see the women's eyes light up when they see a design so familiar to them. The clutch is finished with a cotton poplin liner, a YKK zipper, and a contrasting color oversized tassel pull.
