Labyrinths have been used as designs on pottery and basketry, as body art, and in etchings on the walls of caves and churches. The Romans created many primarily decorative unicursal designs in tile or mosaic. Many labyrinths set in floors or on the ground are large enough that the path can be walked. We are in thrall to these labyrinth design clutches handwoven in beads by Guatemalan artisans. The beads are of Czech glass and the clutch is lined with cotton fabric and closed with a simple zipper and two small contrasting color tassel pulls.
