This motif of jaguar spots derives from numerous precolumbian artworks found across a wide geographical swath of Mesoamerica, from polychrome Mayan vessels to stone stelae in both Mayan and Aztec contexts.. The clutch body is woven in Czech glass beads by Mayan women near Lake Atitlan, and is finished with a YKK plastic zipper and a long pull of natural leather.
