SINGLE SEATED SOFA - APRICOT BROCADE

This chair was designed by Carlos González, Guatemala’s first modernist industrial designer, in the 1960s. It is built entirely of foam rubber, many strips of which are cemented into rough form and then contoured into the final shape. We have covered it in a handwoven 100% cotton brocade.  The chair comprises the central form, which is a single upholstered unit, two cushions, and a hardwood base that is attached to the underside of the chair.
