Newly handwoven facsimile of the skirts famously worn by indigenous Mayan women of Nahuala is the base of this extra large tote. For too long companies have purchased these skirt fabrics (and every other vintage textile available in Guatemala) to "upcycle" into apparel and personal accessories. They are undeniably handsome, but since they have been worn they can be purchased much more cheaply than their replacement cost and therefore do not incentivize young weavers to keep weaving.
Lined with cotton fabric, has a practical inside pocket and a magnetic snap to close and secure your stuff. Leather handles and a multicolor cotton thread tassel complement this casual looking tote.

Dimensions in inches: 20" long , 12" high and 3" wide
100% cotton lined with inside pocket and magnet close
Care: Spot clean with a damp cloth.
